South Waziristan Check Post Attack: Heroic Defense by Security Forces:

Kharijites’ Assault Foiled by Security Forces:

On the night of December 20-21, 2024, a group of Kharijites attempted a coordinated attack on a security forces check post in the Makin area of South Waziristan. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces thwarted the attack, neutralizing 8 terrorists. Unfortunately, the operation came at a great cost, as 16 brave soldiers sacrificed their lives in defense of the nation.

Lance Naik Liaquat Ali Shaheed (30) from Karam District, who served in the Pakistan Army for 9 years.

Lance Naik Muhammad Ishaq Shaheed (30) from Kirk, with 9 years of dedicated service.

Havaldar Ayub Khan Shaheed (38) from Attock District, who served for 15 years.

Soldier Junaid Shaheed (26) from Shangla District, who served for 4 years and left behind his grieving parents and wife.

Other valiant soldiers who laid down their lives include:

Havaldar Umar Hayat Shaheed (40) from Kohat District, with 17 years of service.

Sepoy Mehboob Rehman Shaheed (26) from Tank District, who served for 8 years.

Havaldar Muhammad Hayat Shaheed (37) from Bannu District, with 17 years of dedication.

Sepoy Tayab Ali Shaheed (23) from Haripur District, who had just completed his first year in the army.

Lance Naik Sher Muhammad Shaheed (26) from Malakand District, who served for 7 years.

Sepoy Ehsanul Haq Shaheed (22) from Lower Dir District, with 4 years of service.

Soldier Junaid Shaheed (25) from Khyber District, who served for 3 years.

Soldier Faiz Muhammad Shaheed (22) from Mansehra District, who served for 4 years.

Lance Naik Hamid Ali Shaheed (29) from Swabi District, with 8 years of service.

Sepoy Kaleemullah Shaheed (26) from Lakki Marwat District, who served for 3 years.

Havaldar Tahir Mehmood Shaheed (41) from Kohat District, who served for 18 years.

Lance Naik Artist Shaheen Shaheed (29) from Kohat District, with 7 years of service.

An ISPR spokesperson confirmed that sanitization operations are ongoing in South Waziristan to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
