Petroleum Prices Set for Another Increase in February 2025
The Government has raised the prices of petroleum products twice in January, and now, there is a possibility of another increase from February 1, 2025.

According to recent media reports, both diesel and petrol prices are expected to rise in the coming days. Diesel prices may increase by Rs. 6 per liter, while petrol could see a rise of Rs. 3 per liter starting from February 1, 2025.
Recap of January’s Price Hikes
The government has already implemented two price hikes within the first month of the year. From January 1 to January 15, 2025, the price of petrol was increased by Rs. 3.47 per liter. Additionally, from January 16 to January 31, petrol prices rose by another 56 paise. Diesel prices also saw two increases during this period, with an increase of Rs. 2.96 per liter and Rs. 2.61 per liter.
