ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, a Powerful Earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale struck Islamabad & various cities across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Causing widespread concern & prompting residents to evacuate buildings. According to ARY, the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) confirmed that the quake’s tremors were felt across a wide area. Including Islamabad, Swat, Malakand, Charsadda, Mansehra, Swabi, Mardan, Peshawar, Chitral, Upper Dir, Khyber, Landi Kotal, Jamrud, Tirah, Buner, & KP regions.
The NSMC stated that the epicenter of this Powerful Earthquake was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range in Afghanistan, with a depth of 220 kilometers. As tremors shook the cities, residents immediately took to safety measures, leaving their homes & workplaces, while many recited Kalma-e-Tayyaba as they gathered in open areas.
