Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is proud to announce the launch of the 2025 Team TCS Teachers contest, celebrating outstanding educators across North America. The contest offers teachers the unique opportunity to participate in iconic marathons, including the TCS New York City Marathon, TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon, and the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. With applications open from March 10 to 31, this initiative empowers educators by providing support both inside the classroom and through fitness, allowing them to enhance their personal and professional lives.
Team TCS Teachers: A Community of Resilient Educators
Since its launch in 2018, Team TCS Teachers has grown into a vibrant and inspiring community of teachers who exemplify leadership, resilience, and commitment to their students. The 2025 contest continues to build on the success of previous years, emphasizing TCS’s ongoing commitment to supporting communities through education, technology, and sport.
The contest recognizes exceptional educators and gives them VIP access to participate in one of the world’s most prestigious marathons. Teachers selected for the 2025 Team TCS Teachers program will enjoy exclusive training resources, personalized marathon preparation, and the opportunity to join an exclusive Facebook group with current and past participants, including marathoner and educator Susanna Sullivan.
Benefits of the Team TCS Teachers Contest
Teachers selected for the 2025 contest will receive the following benefits:
- VIP entry to one of the major marathons: TCS New York City Marathon, TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon, or Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
- Access to an exclusive Facebook group with past and current participants, offering a sense of community and support.
- Personalized training support to help prepare for the marathon.
- Access to STEM resources through TCS’s signature programs, including TCS GoI and TCS Ignite My Future.
We will provide all applicants, regardless of whether they are selected as winners, with access to valuable STEM education resources to support their teaching efforts.
Supporting Educators and Health: TCS’s Commitment to Wellness and Fitness
TCS promotes health and wellness by sponsoring 14 major global running events, including the TCS New York City Marathon, TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon, and Chicago Marathon. In 2024, runners in TCS-sponsored marathons across North America raised $180 million for charity. Additionally, TCS contributed $500,000 to Rising New York Road Runners, a youth program that supports physical fitness and confidence-building for children across New York City.

We invite educators from the United States and Canada to apply by sharing how they integrate running and wellness into their teaching or inspire students and communities through sport. Judges will evaluate the applications based on:
